Brazil defender Dante helped himself to a goal as Bayern Munich destroyed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 in the German Bundesliga to put themselves 13 points clear at the top of the table.

Dante got the penultimate goal after strikes from Mario Gotze, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, while the rout was completed by Mario Mandzukic against hapless opponents.

Bayern are favourites to retain the Champions League trophy won last term and Dante, almost ever-present so far this season, is adding goals to his game at the right time.

The 30 year-old centre back has recently been displaying similar skills for the national team: in 2013 he scored his first two international goals and has ten caps to his name.
