Tottenham midfielder Paulinho’s match-saving goal against Hull City has been hailed by manager Tim Sherwood after the Brazilian spared his side’s blushes against Seve Bruce’s charges.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Sherwood said: “He’s been out a while now so it’s fantastic to have him back.”

“By the time we play Everton next week we won’t be far off full strength.”

Following the 1-1 draw against Hull, Spurs lie in 6th place in the Premier League table, two points outwith the coveted Champions League places and a daunting nine points behind league leaders Manchester City.
