Vinícius Araújo is on the verge of a move to Valencia according to various reports in Spain, with Los Che acquiring 50% of his economic rights.

Spanish newspaper Marca first reported that Valencia were buying Araújo and stated that the La Liga club had reached an agreement with Cruzeiro for his transfer.

The length of the contract is three years although Lance state that Cruzeiro director of football Alexandre Mattos would not confirm or deny that the deal yet.

These reports were backed up by Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, who believe the 20-year-old has agreed personal terms and follow Marca’s lead that Valencia will be buying 50% of the player’s rights for €3.5 million.

Inside Spanish Football reported this news from the Spanish radio station, adding that all that holds up the deal is the definitive closure from Cruzeiro.

There is only six hours remaining of the Spanish transfer window so Araújo will hope that this deal goes through.

The youngster has been a regular in various Brazilian youth teams and is highly regarded in South America. One of the best Brazilian youngster in 2013, it seems likely that he’ll get an opportunity to show his talent in Europe soon.

It could prove to be quite a coup for Valencia if they can buy 50% of his economical rights for just €3.5 million, a small fee considering his obvious ability.

We await confirmation from Valencia and Cruzeiro about the deal.
