Brazil midfielder Paulinho laments Wednesday’s 10-2 defeat
The former Corinthians and current Tottenham star is currently recovering from injury and didn’t enjoy watching either game on television as Corinthians lost 5-1 to Santos and Tottenham by the same scoreline to Manchester City.
The 25-year-old was all smiles when he arrived for an interview with Lancenet on Thursday. This soon changed when asked about Wednesday’s football.
“Do we really have to talk about football (laughs)? It was a difficult day. A bad result at home, we had to win to stay in the hunt for the top four. Then, at night, I watched the Corinthians game,” he said.
And which defeat hurt more?
“I had a great time at Corinthians, I’m still in touch with almost everybody at the club and I have lot of affection for the fans. However Tottenham is my current club and so it hurt more because there was nothing I could do to help.”
