One of the players that could well be facing Brazil in this summer’s World Cup is being linked with a move to Chelsea, where he would get to train every day with a few of his potential international opponents, such as Oscar and David Luiz.

Mario Pasalic is an 18 year-old Croatian midfielder, plying his trade with Hajduk Split, but has been mentioned in relation to a £3million move to West London.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Pasalic has already been the subject of a rejected bid by Italian club Lazio as the race for his signature hots up.

Should Pasalic make Croatia’s World Cup squad, he faces the unenviable task of being part of a group of players charged with the task of stopping the host nation, and hosts Brazil, in the opening game on June 12.
