Footballing royalty in the shape of Pele will be visiting Egypt next month as part of a mission to promote the Copa Coca Cola, an event held around the world in an attempt to unite youngsters.

Certainly a notion welcomed in Egypt after recent turmoill, the tournament will give youngsters the chance to express themselves on a football pitch, whilst also giving them an opportunity to cast their eyes on the man whom many call the greatest ever player of the game.

It will be Pele’s first visit to the African country in 41 years- he is an official ambassador for the Copa Coca Cola, which is run in conjunction with the Egyptian Ministry of Sports. 

One of the most easily recognisable men in footballing history, Pele is involved in numerous official and unofficial roles in the lead up to this year’s World Cup.

Previous
