Marcos Malaquias, a representative of Palmeiras captain Henrique, has confirmed that the defender will join Napoli.
The deal is believed to be worth around €4 million, €2 million short of Henrique’s €6 million buyout clause.
“It was a good proposal for everybody concerned,” Malaquias told GloboEsporte.com.
“Despite the fact Henrique didn’t want to leave Palmeiras in their centenary year, the €4m offer satisfied us.”
Henrique joined Palmeiras on a free transfer in June 2012 after being released by Barcelona. The 27 year-old has been capped four times by Brazil.
