Botafogo depart for Ecuador to face Deportivo Quito
The first leg of the Copa Libertadores first round clash will be at altitude
The Botafogo squad is currently on its way Ecuador, where the club will take part in its first Copa Libertadores match for 17 years. They will battle it out with opponents Deportivo Quito for a place in the first round proper of the competition.
Despite the game taking place in Quito, the team have flown to Quayaquil and will arrive in the city of the game only hours before kick-off to try to limit the effects of altitude.
Botafogo will be without two first-team players: right-back Lucas and holding midfielder Bolatti did not travel with the squad due to injuries. The team is likely to be as follows: Jefferson, Edilson, Bolívar, Dória and Julio Cesar; Marcelo Mattos, Gabriel, Rodrigo Souto, Lodeiro and Jorge Wagner; Ferreyra.
