Report: Sunderland agree £3 million fee with Internacional for forward Ignacio Scocco
Sunderland have agreed a £3 million fee with Internacional for forward Ignacio Scocco, according to reports.
Sky Sports claims that a deal is nearing completion, with the one-time Argentina international set to move to Wearside.
Cardiff City were also believed to be interested in Scocco, but the opportunity to work with Gus Poyet and join a side that already boasts two Argentinians - Santiago Vergini and Oscar Ustari - is believed to have swayed the 28 year-old.
Scocco joined Internacional in July, after a spell with Newell's Old Boys. He never really settled in Brazil, scoring just three goals in 17 appearances, as Inter closed out the 2013 season fighting against relegation.
