Brazilian defender Jonathan has taken a swipe at his Inter Milan colleagues as they continue to struggle in front of goal in this season’s Serie A championship.

Having not tasted victory so far in 2014, the Italian side must rediscover the secrets of goalscoring if they wish to have a successful end to the current campaign.

A 0-0 draw at the weekend against Catania has prompted the Brazilian left back to publicly denounce Inter’s recent form. Speaking with his side’s official website, Jonathan said: “We’re lacking a bit of luck because we’re trying to score in every possible way, sending balls up front.”

“We’re not managing to convert our chances. That’s all we’re lacking. Once that starts happening againwe’ll be able to move forward. I’m certain of that.”

Sitting in fifth place as it stands, Inter will need to grab their opportunities and quickly if they are to salvage a season in which they are not even competing in European competition.
