Corinthians director of football Edu Gaspar confirms Napoli approach for Ralf
Corinthians director of football Edu Gaspar has confirmed that Napoli have enquired about midfielder Ralf.
The 35 year-old, who played for Arsenal between 2001 and 2005, admits a deal is possible, but it will take a significant offer to tempt him into selling one of his prized assets.
“Yes, I cannot deny it,” he told CalcioMercato. “Napoli have asked about Ralf.
“I am in contact with some of the leaders from that club, but they have not made a formal proposal yet.
“I’ve in the papers that a deal has been done, but that is not the case.
“We are willing to keep on talking, but Ralf is indispensable for us. If Napoli were to make an offer, it would have to be very convincing.”
Ralf, 29, joined Corinthians from Grêmio Barueri in 2010. Last season he made 36 appearances, scoring once.
