Many of Brazil’s top players, including Kaká, Robinho, Neymar and Lucas Moura, played in the competition before moving on to the senior level.

Santos defeated Corinthians 2-1 in the final of this year’s Copinha to take the title for the second consecutive year and for the third time overall. Diego Cardoso and Serginho scored for Santos while Malcon pulled one back for Corinthians.

Many interesting players had the opportunity to showcase their talents and will hope to get a chance to represent their respective senior teams in this year’s Campeonato Brasileiro.

Corinthians’ Malcon shone despite being one of the youngest players in the competition. The left-footed winger is quick and scores important goals.

Another player to appear in the final was Stéfano Yuri of Santos. He is tall and strong and an excellent finisher.

São Paulo’s Boschilia and Ewandro have already debuted at senior level and have impressed for Brazil’s youth team as well, shining in the South American Under-17 Championship early last year. Boschilia is an attacking midfielder with good technique who likes to shoot from distance. He has attracted interest from foreign clubs, such as Arsenal. He has been promoted to São Paulo’s senior squad following his performance in the tournament. Teammate Ewandro is a forward with good vision and technique who can shoot with both feet.

Lucas Silva is another São Paulo product. A central defender and natural leader, he has been the captain of Brazil’s youth team and can score goals from set pieces.

Gustavo Adebayor of Taboão da Serra is a tall and skinny striker. He was the top goal scorer in the competition and will be joining Criciúma.
