With a weekend spare thanks to Manchester United’s early exit from the F. A. Cup, manager David Moyes took the opportunity to travel to Germany and take in Friday night’s match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Casting his eye over the talent on offer, Moyes was believed to be in attendance to further critique the qualities of Dante and Toni Kroos, both of whom he is interested in bringing to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian centre back has long been linked with a move away from Bayern and although rumours of a transfer were dispelled last week, Moyes’ appearance has refuelled the prospect of a move for the 30 year-old, who has ten caps and two goals for his country.

United are expected to shortly announce the signing of Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata as they seek to revamp an ageing and weak squad.
