President Dilma Rousseff talks about World Cup investments at the World Economic Forum
Brazil’s President has reassured people that Brazil are ready and will welcome the world with open arms in June.
At the end of her speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, President Dilma Rousseff reiterated that Brazil is ready to host the 2014 World Cup.
To an audience made up of world leaders and entrepreneurs, Rousseff used the catchphrase 'World Cup of all World Cups', used with increasing frequency by the 66-year-old.
On Thursday, Dilma detoured to meet Joseph Blatter, president of FIFA, at the organisation’s headquarters.
After the meeting, she said that the two discussed peace and spoke about possible actions to develop women's football.
