Lionel Messi made his 400th appearance for Barcelona on Wednesday night and Brazil superstar Neymar has praised his team mate, whilst also predicting that the pair will make history together.
Neymar was unavailable for the Copa del Rey tie against Levante, and is for the foreseeable future, with an ankle injury.
However he took to his social media site Instagram to praise the Argentine forward, Neymar added: “Congratulations genius for 400 matches.
“I hope you continue charming everyone with your magical football and lets make history together. We are together playmaker.”
The message included a picture of the pair and it is hard to argue against the Brazilian’s claim that the duo will make history together by winning several titles and scoring a bucketful of goals for Barcelona.
Several people have been surprised at how quickly the pair developed a partnership after Neymar signed for the club in the summer. The duo assisted each other numerous times though during their opening matches together.
Messi didn’t miss Neymar too much on Wednesday night though as he assisted three goals in their 4-1 win but he will hope his fellow South American is back soon so they can target titles together for the Catalan club.
