Two young Brazilians are selected for the SuperDraft and will play in the MLS
Luca Gimenez and Fábio Pereira, who completed higher education in the USA, have become professional athletes and will now play Major League Soccer.
Participants in the MLS SuperDraft, Luca Gimenez , who graduated from Wake Forest University , and Fábio Pereira, who attended the University of Michigan, were selected by the Philadelphia Union and the Seattle Sounders, respectively.
Future teammate of 2002 World Cup winner Kléberson, Luca is looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.
“I am very happy for the recognition and opportunity to continue my dream of playing professional football here in the MLS at Philadelphia Union. I'll take everything I learned in Brazil and here at university with me for this new challenge in my career,” he said.
Fábio will also have the opportunity to work alongside another well-known player. Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins will be his teammate. He is grateful for the chance to show what he can do at his new club.
“I am extremely grateful to my university and 2SV Sports for guiding me and helping to chart this career path. I leave today as a graduate from the University of Michigan and with a great opportunity ahead. I'll give it everything,” he promised.
