Brazil and AC Milan playmaker Kaká has admitted Wednesday’s Coppa Italia defeat to Udinese was a huge disappointment.

Milan went ahead as early as the 6th minute through Mario Balotelli but Luis Muriel equalised from the penalty spot.

Then youngster Nicolás López scored a sensational winner to effectively make the Rossoneri’s task of qualifying for Europe much harder.

Football Italia quoted the Brazilian, whose disappointment was clear to see.

“The club had given us the task of getting to the final of the Coppa Italia,” said Kaká.

“We are very much disappointed because we did not want a game like this. There is little to say and much to do.

“We have to be honest, we are very far away from the qualifying positions for Europe. The Italian Cup was much closer. It was the surest way for us.

“Here we did not do well. In the game before against Verona we did well, here we began well and then dropped. It is hard to figure out what happened.”

And what next for AC Milan? Kaká isn’t sure but he believes Clarence Seedorf will motivate the group for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old said: “Where do we go from here? Everyone has to have their own reflection, we must try to figure out what we can give to the team.

“Then, Clarence can tell us what to do, provide us with the motivation to pick up the most points in the League and face up in the Champions League.
