Brazilian-born midfielder Jorginho has a very bright future in the game, according to his recenty-former coach at Verona, Andrea Mandorlini.

The 22 year-old, who was born in Imbituba in the state of Santa Catarina, impressed so much for Verona that he earned himself a January move to Serie A title-challengers Napoli.

And Mandorlini predicts good things for his former player. Speaking with football-italia.net, he said: “Jorginho is a player that has features that are not common, he is very good at handling the ball.”

“He can also play in a midfield two, even if he is accustomed to a three. He and Juan Iturbe (Jorginho’s former teammate) have great quality, they will have successful careers.”

Jorginho joins Rafa Benitez’s Napoli with the team in the Europa League and still fighting for the chance to win Serie A. They sit third in the table and currently occupy the final Champions League spot for next season.

Jorginho has represented Italy at under-21 level.
