The agent of Lucas Moura has ruled out the Brazilian attacker moving away from Paris Saint-Germain despite reports linking him with a transfer.

Speculation has seen the 21-year-old linked with a move to Premier League side Manchester United over the past few weeks but his agent insists that isn’t part of the plan.

Wagner Ribeiro has been speaking to Globo Esporte and his comments were reported by Sky Sports.

Ribeiro added: “Lucas Moura isn’t playing as much as we want, but he has been playing the most important games.

“It’s not part of the plans to leave Paris now, he is slowly gaining his place in the team.”

Moura’s contract doesn’t expire until the summer of 2017 but his move to Europe hasn’t worked out quite like he would have imagined.

The Brazilian international transferred to PSG during January 2013 and although his side won the Ligue 1 championship, Moura failed to score and only contributed three assists.

This season he has been more impressive, starting 12 games and come off the bench 12 times in all competition, adding three goals and five assists.

Now that it seems likely he’ll stay in Paris, Moura will want to improve even more during the remaining months of the season, especially with the World Cup on the horizon.
