The Brazilian suffered an ankle sprain on Thursday and could miss up to six games.

Barcelona have confirmed via their website that the 21-year-old Brazilian sprained tendons in his right ankle during Thursday’s 2-0 win over Getafe and will be out for between three and four weeks.

Crucially, it looks likely that Neymar will be available for Barcelona’s game against Manchester City in the knockout stage of the Champions League on 18 February.

However, he will miss league games against Valencia, Sevilla and Levante as well as two cup clashes against the former. Barcelona will face Rayo Vallecano on 16 February but whether Barcelona will risk Neymar so close to the Manchester City game remains to be seen.
