Flamengo’s situation did not really improve on Wednesday evening. Losing 2-0 until the 44th min of the second half, before an amazing fight back in the last minutes led to a 2-2 finish against Juventude in Caxias do Sul.

In a dirty hard fought game Juventude took the advantage in the first half with goals from Antonio Carlos and Caíco looking to have sealed all 3 points. However Joel Santa’s debut half time talk clearly touched the players. A different team emerged from the tunnel and led an awesome fight back.

However despite controlling play Flamengo were unable to penetrate the Juventude goal. It wasn’t until the 43rd min, that Josafá was knocked down in the area by Juliano (red card) and Renato converted the penalty. Two minutes later, Júnior connected with Fabiano Oliveira’s cross and Flamengo secured an improbable draw.

The point very does not improve the position of the Cariocas in the table (they continue in 20th), but for moral it was clearly important. Flamengo has 35 points and needs, at least four victories in the eight games to remain in the top Division.

To try to get the necessary points, the teams Coach and Directors are making major changes. From the 4th of November, the team will be in isolation on the Granja Comary training camp, in Teresópolis.
