More reports have linked Brazil and Manchester United midfielder Anderson with a move to Fiorentina, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming a loan-deal has been agreed.

Over the last few days it has become clear that the 25-year-old would be leaving Old Trafford and the loan deal will have a clause, which could see the Brazilian move permanently to Italy in the summer.

That is assuming that the loan move is a success, the clause in the deal is that Fiorentina would have to pay €6.5 million to secure the services of the former Porto midfielder.

It is reported that Anderson will complete his medical over the next few days before officially being presented as a Viola player.

The Brazilian has struggled in recent years as he has battled fitness and form issues in England.

He hasn’t featured regularly in the first team this season under new manager David Moyes and it now seems he could have played his last game for the club.

It is believed that Anderson could be the first of several departures out of Old Trafford and should he leave permanently in the summer he will surely feel his time in England has been unfulfilled.

His first few seasons at the club suggested he would become a key player in the future but it hasn’t materalised like many assumed and Anderson will ultimately leave as a disappointment.
