Ruud Gullit believes Clarence Seedorf will “prove to be a good choice” for Milan
Former Netherlands international Ruud Gullit believes Clarence Seedorf will prove to be a good head coach for Milan.
The 37 year-old has chosen to cut short his contract with Botafogo and return to the Rossoneri, where he spent ten seasons as a player.
Gullit admits he was surprised at Seedorf’s appointment, but fully expects his fellow countryman to embrace the role.
"I am very surprised at the choice made by the club," he told RTL 4.
"Clarence has no experience as a coach. Despite this however, I think it will prove to be a good choice in the near future.”
Seedorf is expected to be in the stands for Milan’s Coppa Italia Round of 16 clash against Spezia on Wednesday. His first game in charge will be Sunday's meeting with Hellas Verona, at the San Siro.
