The 32-year-old visited the club’s training complex in Nino do Urubu, Vargem Grande, on Monday afternoon. The expectation is that he will be unveiled as a new signing imminently.
The club’s other recent signing, Ecuadorian centre-back Frickson Erazo, stayed for about 20 minutes before heading elsewhere to have a medical.
The other player expected to be unveiled as a Flamengo player on Monday is holding midfielder Feijão, as Flamengo look to bolster their options in a year which will see them challenge for the Libertadores.
