Fiorentina sporting director Daniel Pradè has confirmed he is in negotiations to sign Manchester United midfielder Anderson and is also looking for a new forward.
“Yes, we are negotiating for Anderson, but at the same time we have other objectives too,” he told told Sport Mediaset.
“There are many forwards we are looking at, many of whom haven’t been linked to us in the papers.”
Reports suggest the deal will be an initial loan agreement, with the option for a permanent transfer in the summer.
Anderson has found himself increasingly on the fringes at Manchester United. The 25 year-old, who arrived from Porto for £20 million in June 2007, has made just five appearances this season.
