The leading scorer in all competitions in Brazil last year, Hernane, has today been linked with a lucrative move to the United Arab Emirates.
According to reports in globoesporte.com, the Flamengo striker is the subject of an imminent €6 million bid by Al Jazeera and the Rio de Janeiro club could be tempted to cash in on their prized asset as they continue to revamp ahead of this season.
Hernane bagged 16 goals in the Campeonato Brasileiro, another 12 in the Rio State Championship and 8 more in the Copa do Brasil, which his side won to qualify for the upcoming Copa Libertadores.
Although his contract at Flamengo runs until the end of February 2016, the promise of riches and long contracts in the Far East for a man who has failed to be recognised internationally for his exploits last year could prove too tempting to ignore.
