Ronaldinho to sign for Beşiktaş in the next 24 hours
The outcome of the transfer saga that has dominated Brazilian news appears to be coming to an end as Turkish newspaper Fotomaç stated that Ronaldinho will sign for Beşiktaş in the next 24 hours.
The former Atlético Mineiro playmaker has been linked with a move to Turkey since it became clear he would not be renewing his contract with the Copa Libertadores champions.
Now Fotomaç are suggesting that Roberto Assis, Ronaldinho’s brother and agent, has until Friday to respond to the proposal put forward by Beşiktaş.
The Turkish club has sought the help of sponsors to help fund the move for the Brazilian legend and the proposal is £19 million according to Fotomaç.
Several Turkish papers report that Beşiktaş leaders met with sponsors on Wednesday night in Istanbul to get the financial backing needed to secure the signature of Ronaldinho.
As has been reported all along the number 10 will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract and will receive approximately £38 million over his whole contract period.
Although Atlético Mineiro president Alexandre Kalil suggested there would be a meeting with Assis and the club over the coming days it seems unlikely and it appears a formality that Ronaldinho will sign for Beşiktaş.
