Cruzeiro expect big money for Manchester United target Everton RibeiroManchester United are reportedly prepared to offer £12m for the midfielder
The president of the Belo Horizonte side has reminded people of how hard they battled to keep Montillo and said that Everton Ribeiro will only leave if an appropriate offer is made.
Cruzeiro do not want to lose their best player and one of their main assets for the forthcoming Copa Libertadores. If it has anything to do with club president Gilvan de Pinho Tavares, Everton Ribeiro is only going to leave the club for big money. The intention is to repeat what the club did with Argentinian midfielder Walter Montillo, who was only sold to Santos following a contract renewal.
“It’s going to take an awful lot of money to get him. I'm happy to wait - I waited a year with Montillo - so the fans can rest assured that I won’t just accept any offer for Everton,” said the president.
The main club after Everton Ribeiro is Manchester United. The English media have suggested that the English champions are ready to make an offer of £12m for the midfielder. Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in signing the player.
