The RFEF (Royal Spanish Federation) announced on Friday that Spain will face Italy in a World Cup warm-up match later this year. The game will take place on March 5 at the Vicente Calderon, home of Atletico Madrid.

The current coach of Spain, Vicente Del Bosque, was already hoping to face the familiar foe once again following previous contests in the final of Euro 2012 and the semi-finals of last year’s Confederations Cup.

Besides the game against Italy, the Spaniards are likely to schedule two more friendlies to complete their list of World Cup warm-up matches. One of those games will be in Spain whilst the other is expected to be abroad.
