Rayo Vallecano midfielder Roberto Trashorras is hopeful Léo Baptistão will return to the club.

The 21 year-old is likely to leave Atlético de Madrid on loan in January, with injuries and a lack of playing time having hampered his progress since arriving at the Vicente Calderón from Rayo in June.

Trashorras admits he has spoken to Baptistão and believes he would quickly fit back in at the Madrid-based side.

“Yes, I have talked to him,” said Trashorras, as reported by Football Espana. “And I told him to come to Rayo.

“Baptistão is a striker who knows how we play.”

Rayo are currently 19th in La Liga, two points adrift of safety.
