Guangzhou Evergrande have confirmed the signing of Santos midfielder Renê Júnior.
The 24 year-old has signed a four year-deal with the Chinese Super League holders, who will reportedly pay around €1 million.
Renê Júnior was largely a squad player at Santos this season, making just nine starts.
His arrival at Guangzhou coincides with the departure of Darío Conca, who has returned to Fluminense.
Renê Júnior is the third Brazilian at manager Marcello Lippi’s disposal, alongside Muriqui and Elkeson.
The Italian still has two foreign player spots available to him – league rules allow each team up to five – and it is expected that their will be more notable arrivals at Guangzhou before the start of the new season.
