Atletico Mineiro finished their season with a third place finish in the FIFA Club World Cup winning 3-2 against the Chinese Champions, but Ronaldinho saw red in the dying minutes of the game with the score at 2-2.
The 33 year old has sent his side level with a stunning freekick in the final minutes of the first half, his second spectacular freekick of the competition.
But the former World player of the year ended his competition in a flurry of fury after kicking out at Evergrande’s, Zhao Xuri, in the 87th minute.
Being 10 men down didn’t dampen the spirts of the Libertadores champions as substitute, Luan, scored a dramatic winner in the final seconds of regular time.
Mineiro were one up after just two minutes, Diego Tardelli hit a Ronaldinho corner home.
Two goals in six minutes from Brazilian and former Atlético loanee Muriqui and Argentine Conca put the Chinese side in the lead.
