Atlético Mineiro President Alexandre Kalil has criticised the actions of Common Sense FC and also failed to pour cold water on allegations that Gala were under prepared to face Raja Casablanca.

Firstly talking about Common Sense FC (Bom Senso FC), a group of leading players that are protesting and calling for a number of changes to be instituted by Brazil’s football federation, Kalil said.

“Common Sense is exaggerating, putting wood on the fire. We’re all on the same side, as the club also wants less games and more organization.

“Brazilian football walk for a tax overhaul… we need to put the tax issue on the table so that it covers the financial fair play but this issue needs to be discussed so that everyone can afford it.”

On suggestions by Raja manager Faouzi Benzarti that Atlético were underprepared, Kalil said to ask his own manager Cuca.

He also may incur the wrath of Gala fans after appearing to say he wasn’t aware that Atlético fans would be leaving early now and selling their tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup final because their side failed to qualify.

“I do not understand the tactics. Who has to answer to this is Cuca. Who am I to respond to their coach.

“I’m not seeing it… I would not do that (sell the tickets) though naturally supporters will come anyway. Everyone does what they want.”
