Rafinha extends Bayern Munich contract until 2017
Bayern Munich have confirmed an agreement has been reached with defender Rafinha to extend his contract until 2017.
The 28 year-old has become a regular starter under new manager Pep Guardiola, making 20 appearances in all competitions this term.
Rafinha was largely a squad player last season, but with Guardiola switching captain Philipp Lahm into midfield, the Brazilian has been able to make the right full-back position his own.
"It's very important to me, my career and my family that I continue to work for one of the best clubs in the world. I am very proud,” held told Bayern Munich’s official website, as reported by GOAL.com.
Rafinha, who has been capped once by Brazil, joined Bayern Munich in June 2011 from Genoa for €5.5 million.
