Atlético Mineiro Head coach Cuca believes forward Fernandinho can make Brazil’s FIFA World Cup squad.
The 28 year-old, who joined the Belo Horizonte-based side in August from Al-Jazira, scored six goals in 23 appearances, as Atlético finished 8th in the Brasileirão.
“He’s in prime form,” Cuca told FIFA.com. “If he keeps on playing like this, he could well make the World Cup team.”
Fernandinho is expected to start when Atlético face Raja Casablanca in their FIFA Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
