Raja Casablanca midfielder Chemseddine Chtibi: Ronaldinho is “a magical player”
Chemseddine Chtibi is looking forward to facing Ronaldinho when Raja Casablanca meet Atlético Mineiro in their FIFA Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
The midfielder, who scored in Raja’s quarter-final victory against Monterrey, admits it’s a dream to compete against the legendary Brazilian.
“Some people say that Morocco is Brazil of Africa,” he told FIFA.com. “So it will be a match between the Brazil of South America and Brazil of north Africa.
“It's a huge occasion for us to be facing a team that has a global superstar like Ronaldinho. He’s a magical player and everybody dreams of sharing a pitch with him. We want to show we can play.”
Raja have beaten Auckland City FC and Monterrey to get to this stage of the competition. The hosts, who qualified as winners of the 2012-13 Botola, will face Atlético at the Stade de Marrakech.
