Seleção defender, Dante, feels that his team mate, Frank Ribery, should win the Ballon d’Or competition.
Dante has played with Ribery for the last two seasons after joining the German champions in 2012.
Dante and Ribery were part of the treble winning last season and Dante feels that Ribery should get the recognition he deserves.
“Ribery was and still is a very important part of our team,” the Brazil international told Goal.
“We won all the titles and I am firmly convinced that he deserves the Ballon d’Or. Not because he is my friend, but because of the things he has achieved and the way he has helped the team.”
Dante will come up against former World player of the year, Ronaldinho, in the FIFA Club World Cup next week.
