Willian impresses once again as Chelsea qualify out of the group stages
Brazilian midfielder, Willian, impressed once again last night for his new club and Chelsea scrapped through 1-0 to progress into the next round of the Champions League.
Willian played an instrumental role for the blues and has impressed many since moving from Anzi in the summer.
Last night the midfielder was awarded with Man Of The Match, and after thanked his team mates and his coach, Jose Mourinho.
“Being voted the best player on the field makes me very happy, but I was even more pleased to have helped Chelsea to win. That was the goal. My companions are also to be congratulated. I'm feeling more and more comfortable on the field, and Mourinho has also given me a lot of confidence and passed me great advice,” the midfielder said after the game.
“Since the time of Shakhtar, where I got used to playing both sides of the field as the central part. So things are flowing in the best possible way here at Chelsea. But I know I need to keep working and dedicating myself to get better and better.”
Willian has reaped the rewards of his move to Chelsea, earning his first Seleção call up since 2011 in the last round of friendlies, and also got his name on the socresheet against Honduras.
