Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari “satisfied” with FIFA World Cup draw
Head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was “satisfied” with Brazil's FIFA World Cup draw.
The Seleção were put in Group A, alongside Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon.
While pleased, Scolari insists he is only focused on the group stages and has not looked ahead to potential opponents in the knock-out rounds.
"I am satisfied with the draw," he told FIFA.com. "But we shall be paying close attention to the opening phase. I am not concerned with the second phase.”
Scolari also noted that he was "happy with the match sequence.”
Brazil open the tournament against Croatia at the Arena Corinthians. They then face Mexico five days later at the Castelão, before finishing with Cameroon in Brasília’s Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha.
