Palmeiras look to Elano and Lucio for next season
Palmeiras coach, Gilson Kleina, is looking to stregthen his Palmeiras side for next season’s campaign with the signings of Elano and Lucio.
Elano, who enjoyed success with Manchester City and Galatasary, finds himself in a difficult situation with current club Gremiro, and could be looking for a new club.
Former Inter Milan hard man, Lucio, is also having a difficult time with Sao Paulo and Kleina wants to improve his defensive options with the 35 year old.
Kleina said: “Elano has a spectacular reading of the game, in my opinion, Elano was the key piece for Dunga in the 2010 World Cup. And Lucio is a winner, team captain and high-level player " he told radio Bandeirantes, as reported by Agora.
Palmeiras won promotion to the Brazilian Serie A after winning the serie B this season.
