Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina insists Brazil are “obligated to win the World Cup"
Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina insists Brazil are “obligated to win the World Cup” next summer.
“They are playing at home, they are a strong team and the pressure will be on them,” he said, as reported by Inside Spanish Football.
“[Brazil] are obligated to win the World Cup because they are the best team right now.”
Reina was speaking ahead of Spain’s friendly with South Africa on Tuesday. La Furia Roja will return to the Soccer City stadium where they defeated Netherlands 1-0 to win the 2010 World Cup.
Reina, who has 30 caps for Spain, is currently on loan at Napoli from Liverpool. The 31 year-old’s made 16 appearances, keeping five clean sheets.
