Pato transfer picks up pace
This winter could see Seleção star, Alexandre Pato move to the Premier league to either North London sides after falling out of favour in his home country with Corinthians.
Since moving to Corinthians in the winter of last year Pato has found it tough to find love from the stands.
Pato joined Corinthians for a fee of €12 million from Italian giants, AC Milan and has found it tough to force his way in the good books of the fans and board at the Sao Paolo outfit.
When asked about the future of Pato at Corinthians, club director, Roberto De Andrade said to Radio Bandeirantes: “Considering his value, I think it's hard that he moves to another Brazilian club,” reports GOAL.com.
The striker himself this week revealed that he turned Spurs down in the summer after talks with the Corinthians hierarchy.
Since missing a penalty in the Brazilian cup fans have voted for the striker to be the first player to depart the club in January.
January will see bids from both Arsenal and Spurs to improve their forward line.
Pato has scored sixteen goals in fifty-one appearances.
