Giampiero Pocetta: Amauri has MLS interest
The agent of Parma forward Amauri has confirmed there is interest from Major League soccer in the 33 year-old.
Amauri, who was born in Carapicuíba, Brazil, but has represented Italy at international level, was linked with a move to Hoffenheim in January.
He is yet to score this season, but has been a regular under head coach Roberto Donadoni, starting seven matches.
“I can confirm interest from the MLS, yes,” Amauri’s agent Giampiero Pocetta told TMW, as reported by Football Italia.
“It is certainly pleasing, but my client is happy at Parma and has a two-year contract with the Gialloblu.
“At the moment he is concentrated on the game with Juventus, as he wants a goal to break his drought and contribute to the team.”
Amauri in his third spell at Parma. He joined initially in 2000, before returning on loan from Juventus eleven years later. After a stint with Fiorentina, he rejoined the Ducali again in July 2012.
