Brazil need to play as a team to win the World Cup insists Pele
Pele believes Brazil must play as a team to win next summer’s World Cup.
The 73 year-old, who won the competition three times as a player, insists the Seleção have individual talent, but must be strong collectively.
“My heart wants Brazil [to win], no doubt,” he told Sky Sports. “We have proved we have excellent players all over the world, but what we need is to have a good team because Brazil has individual players all over the world. I hope to have a nice team.”
Pele expects Germany and Spain to be Brazil’s biggest rivals.
“At the moment I think the two best teams that I saw - and when you get to the World Cup it could be different and could change - are Spain and Germany. They are the two teams that I saw and that I like and that could be very strong teams for the World Cup.”
