Clarence Seedorf insists he was mistranslated after comments attributed to him about Massimiliano Allegri
Clarence Seedorf has insisted he was mistranslated after negative comments about Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri was attributed to him.
It was claimed that Seedorf suggested Allegri was the reason he had chosen to leave Milan. The midfielder believes his words were taken out of context.
“The translation was wrong,” the veteran told Sky Sport Italia, as reported by Football Italia. “My comments were not take as they were said.
“I hope Allegri does well, and I want to see Milan do well.
“I never wanted to attack [the Coach or the club] at this particular time. I am sorry if I have created any sort of controversy.
“I was simply responding to questions in which I explained why I chose to leave Milan. If my explanation was seen as an attack on Allegri, then I apologise.
“I respected the decisions made by Allegri, and decided to leave the club.”
