João Santos: Jorginho could stay at Hellas Verona if they qualify for Europe
The agent of Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho has suggested his client could leave next summer.
João Santos added, however, that Jorginho would be more likely to stay if Verona qualified for Europe.
Andrea Mandorlini’s newly-promoted side are currently 5th in Serie A. Jorginho has been instrumental to their unaccepted start, scoring five goals in ten appearances.
Santos believes it will be difficult for Verona to retain the 21 year-old if he maintains his current form.
“I read of many links, but to be honest so far nobody has come forward with a concrete proposal to Verona,” he said, as reported by Football Italia.
“He could leave in the summer if he continues to confirm himself at this level, even if it would be pleasing to see him, [Raphael] Martinho and Rafael still wearing the Gialloblu jersey if Verona qualified for the Europa League.
“Right now his dream is to play in Europe with Hellas.”
Jorginho has been linked with Arsenal, Internazionale and Liverpool.
