Dani Alves dismisses Madrid referee claims
Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has dismissed claims from Real Madrid that refereeing decisions went against them during Saturday's Clasico defeat.
Sergio Ramos was left infuriated when his side were denied a penalty after Cristiano Ronaldo was brought down by Javier Mascherano, prompting Sergio Busquets to accuse Carlo Ancelotti's side of "crying to the referee."
The Seleção has now backed his team mate's view on the issue, telling reporters after the match: "Their referee complaints fit like a glove for not accepting defeat. If they had scored an equaliser they would not be talking about the officials.
"Maybe Ramos should not talk about the referee as he could have been shown two yellow cards. As players we are the least qualified to talk about referees."
The Brazilian also claimed that the media coverage had distorted certain incidents that occurred during the game to simply to bolster coverage of the clash at Camp Nou, reports Goal.com
"The newspapers and TV have sold more copies to their audience for debating about the referee," he added.
