Report: Could Pato be on his way?
Tottenham Hotspur target Alexandre Pato's problems with his club Corinthians have escalated after he missed a penalty during a shootout last night.
Globosporte have reported that the clubs president, Mario Gobbi, was unhappy with the Seleção star after the defeat.
He said Pato had taken his penalty poorly and even though the defeat wasn’t totally down to him he believes the former AC Milan forward needs to give more in games, reports Sports Witness.
Gobbi thinks Pato can give more but if this doesn’t happen then the club needs to think about changes.
“Clearly the duck hit it badly, but the blame is not his alone. We know he can give more. Those who can’t give more, we have to change,” said Gobbi on the situation.
Andre Villas Boas tried to sign the player in the last summer window but this was turned down by Corinthians, yet reports in Brazil suggest a deal could be done in the future.
Tottenham have already done business with Corinthians recently in signing Paulinho and they could take advantage of the situation Pato finds himself in.
