Massimiliano Allegri praises Kakà after Milan draw 1-1 with Barcelona
Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has praised the contribution of Kakà in his side’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona.
The Brazilian international set up Robinho for the opener, before Lionel Messi struck from close range to secure a point for the Catalan side.
The draw leaves Milan with five points after three rounds - two adrift of Barcelona.
Kakà was starting his first game at the San Siro since returning to Milan in the summer. Allegri was delighted with his contribution.
“Kakà had an extraordinary game and he proved he is a champion,” he told Sky Italia, as reported by Football Italia. "I don’t mean just in technical terms, as we all know that, but he worked so hard and even acted as a full-back at times when harassing the Barcelona players.
“Kakà proved once again to be a champion it’s not enough to have great feet, but to work hard and put the effort in.”
