São Paulo president Juvenal Juvêncio admits interest in Lucas Moura loan return
São Paulo president Juvenal Juvêncio has admitted he would be interesting in bringing Lucas Moura back to the club.
The 21 year-old left for Paris Saint-Germain in January.
A lack of consistent playing time, however, has led to speculation that the youngster may be looking for a move elsewhere. He has started just five of PS-G’s ten Ligue 1 games this season.
With Lucas currently in Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup plans, the attacker is eager to play regular football to ensure he retain his place.
Should the São Paulo-native need to move to do so, Juvêncio insists he will try and agree a deal.
"Of course I am interested," he told UOL, as reported by Sky Sports. "Lucas Moura is my total priority. I talked with him recently, he visited the training ground, went to the dressing room.
"Let's see if it's possible. I'll do what I can. I'll try to bring him back on a year-long loan, then he can extend his contract with PS-G for a year, or I'll give them another youth player.
"I know it won't be easy, but I want him here. I am waiting until we are in a safer situation in the league before dealing with this."
Lucas’ agent Wagner Ribeiro doubts his client will leave Paris.
"There is no chance. Lucas Moura has been playing, he likes the environment, his team-mates, Paris.
"He is doing very well there and Paris Saint-Germain invested €43 million to sign him.
He has just bought a house there, left the hotel and his mother is going to live with him."
